Unique, Sustainable & Handcrafted — Made in France
Furniture Carved
from History
Oakâme transforms 18th and 19th century oak beams — salvaged from old buildings across Europe — into furniture of extraordinary character. Every piece carries centuries of story. Olyra brings this exceptional French craft exclusively to Spain.
The Brand
Ancient Oak.
New Life. No Compromise.
Oakâme was founded in northern France with a clear conviction: the most beautiful furniture material already exists — in the heavy oak beams of buildings that have stood for two centuries. Rather than cutting new trees, Oakâme sources these beams from 18th and 19th century structures across Eastern Europe, preserving the grooves, knots, cracks and tobacco tones that centuries of use have left behind.
Each piece is then hand-crafted in France — the structure built from solid oak, cushions filled with French foam and feathers for indoor use or UV-resistant honeycomb foam for outdoor. The fabrics are made from recycled yarns with low ecological impact, PEFC-certified timber ensures no deforestation, and every piece is built to last at least ten years.
The result is furniture that no catalogue can replicate: every sofa, bench, and table is singular. Two pieces from the same range will look different — because the wood demands it.

The Philosophy
Three Principles.
One Coherent Object.
Every Oakâme piece is the product of three decisions made before a single beam is cut. These are not marketing claims — they are visible in the material, the construction, and the way the furniture ages over decades.
Recycled
The oak comes from demolished 18th and 19th century buildings across Eastern Europe. No new trees are felled. The original patina — tobacco tones, grey streaks, fine grooves from generations of use — is preserved rather than sanded away. The fabrics are made from recycled PET plastic bottles and low-impact ecological thread. PEFC certification guarantees that any virgin timber in the supply chain is from sustainably managed forests.
Quality
The natural density and hardness of century-old oak makes it structurally superior to new-growth timber. Indoor cushions use French foam and feathers; outdoor versions use UV-resistant honeycomb foam. Every piece is guaranteed for a minimum of ten years. The finish — whether raw oak that reveals every imperfection, or planed oak with filled cracks — is chosen for the long term, not the showroom photograph.
Hand-Crafted
Each Oakâme piece is assembled by hand in northern France — the oak structure built by woodworkers, the metal elements worked by specialist ironmongers, the cushion covers made by artisan upholsterers. There is no factory production line. This is why delivery takes time and why, once you have the piece, the quality is immediately apparent. Far from being a limitation, the handcrafted process is what makes each object singular.

Oakâme in Use — Seen at Our Showroom
Oakâme furniture is installed and in daily use at Viluz Wellbeing Resort in Mijas. The Zola sofa and the oak benches are part of the living environment of the resort — not staged, not under glass. Zola — Modular Lounge Sofa
The Zola is Oakâme's defining statement: a low, deep, wide sofa built from massive reclaimed oak beams, with a silhouette that commands any room it occupies. The frame is all ancient oak — each module showing distinct grain patterns, knots, and the marks of its previous life. Cream fabric cushions provide a deep, comfortable seat that contrasts with the raw authority of the wood.
The Zola is fully modular — corner modules, centre modules, and an ottoman can be combined to suit any space. Available for indoor and outdoor use, with fabric in over a dozen colourways. Each sofa will look different from the one in any photograph, because the wood makes it so.
Use: Indoor & outdoor versions
Modules: corner left/right, center, ottoman
Wood: Raw ancient oak or planed ancient oak
Fabric: Recycled yarn - 14 colourways available
Cushion: French foam & feathers (indoor)
Oakâme Benches
The Oakâme bench is one of the most elemental objects in the range: a single massive oak beam, legs cut from the same timber, assembled with the minimum of intervention. Each bench is a piece of history made usable. At Viluz, they appear throughout the resort — in corridors, at the entrance, beside the pool — always with the same quiet weight that only centuries-old wood carries.
Bench models include the Descartes, Debussy, Camus, and Bocuse — each named, each unique, each carrying an NFC tag that allows you to trace the origin of its specific beam: the building it came from, the region, the era. A detail that turns a piece of furniture into a conversation.
Use: Indoor & Outdoor
Wood: Reclaimed ancient oak - each unique
NFC Tag: Full traceability - origin & history
Models: Descartes, Debussy, Camus, Bocuse

Embedded in Every Piece
Every Beam Has a Story. Now You Can Read It.
Each Oakâme piece carries a small NFC registration plate — a near-field communication chip that connects the furniture to its full history. Scan it with your phone and access the complete provenance of the oak: which region it came from, the type of building it belonged to, the century of its original use.
This is not a gimmick. For architects and designers specifying furniture for discerning clients, it is a differentiating detail that no other furniture brand in this category can offer. Your client does not just own a sofa — they own a documented piece of European architectural heritage.
➡ Origin of the oak beams — region and building type
➡ Era of the original structure — 18th or 19th century
➡ Species and grain characteristics of the specific timber

Why Oakâme for Costa del Sol
The Right Furniture for This Landscape.
The Costa del Sol demands furniture that can hold its own against the setting — the light, the landscape, the ambition of the architecture. Oakâme was not designed for this region specifically, but it might as well have been.
Unique in Every Project
No two Oakâme pieces look the same. For architects specifying luxury villas or hotels on the Costa del Sol, this is the furniture answer to a client asking "but will anyone else have the same thing?" — the answer, genuinely, is no.
Outdoor Performance
Ancient oak is naturally dense, hard, and weather-resistant. Oakâme's outdoor pieces are designed to stay outside without treatment — the wood ages to a natural silver-grey patina that suits Mediterranean terraces and garden settings perfectly.
Scale for Luxury Architecture
Oakâme pieces are large and physically commanding. They are designed for spaces with height, volume, and ambition — the living rooms, terraces, and hotel lobbies of high-end Costa del Sol projects, not small apartments.
Sustainability as a Feature
High-end clients on the Costa del Sol increasingly ask about material provenance. Oakâme turns the answer into a story: recycled 19th century European oak, French production, PEFC-certified, NFC-traceable. It is a specification that supports a project narrative.
Material Warmth in Stone Interiors
The warm tobacco and grey tones of ancient oak complement the microcement floors, stone walls, and travertine surfaces typical of contemporary Costa del Sol architecture. It provides natural warmth without competing with the palette.
Conversation by Design
The NFC chip embedded in every piece allows guests and owners to discover the history of the wood they are sitting on. In a hotel or private villa, it creates a moment of genuine connection between the object and the person — something no mass-produced furniture can offer.
Embedded in Every Piece
Indoor & Outdoor
The Same Material.
The Same Quality. Outside.
The Oakâme outdoor range uses the same ancient oak structure as the indoor pieces, but with cushions specifically engineered for exterior use — UV-resistant, damp-proof, and water-repellent, machine washable at 30°C. No teak, no synthetic wicker, no powder-coated aluminium. Real ancient wood on a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean.
Over time, untreated outdoor oak naturally silvers to a warm grey — a process Oakâme treats as part of the design, not a defect. The furniture becomes part of the landscape as the years pass, rather than fighting against it.
For terraces, pool surrounds, yoga decks, hotel gardens, and outdoor dining areas — Oakâme delivers a material quality rarely seen in the outdoor furniture category on the Costa del Sol.

Work with Olyra
We Source the Right Fixtures
for Your Project
Olyra is the exclusive representative of Oakâme in Spain. We work directly with architects and interior designers to identify the right pieces from the Oakâme range for each project — sofas, tables, benches, and outdoor furniture selected to match the scale, material palette, and sustainability ambitions of the brief.
Tell us about your project and we will send you the full Oakâme catalogue, arrange a showroom visit at Viluz, and help you specify the pieces that will make a genuine difference to the spaces you are designing.

Tailor-Made Service
Furniture Selection as a Service
Choosing an Oakâme piece for a project is not the same as ordering from a catalogue. The material is unique — every sofa frame will be different, every bench will have its own grain — and the choice of finish, module configuration, fabric, and scale needs to be made thoughtfully.
Olyra's role is to make that selection process simple and well-informed. We review your plans, understand the spaces and the palette, and recommend which Oakâme pieces — or combinations — will work best. We arrange a showroom visit at Viluz so you can present the material to your client before specifying. We manage all communication with Oakâme on your behalf.
There is no fee for this service. Our job is to make sure the right pieces reach the right projects — and that architects and designers on the Costa del Sol have access to the full breadth of what Oakâme produces, not just what happens to be in stock.
